at least I'm trying, folks
It’s not so much the concern I have about being right. in fact, in context I always place myself to those who are on the far right of the fringe and then say to myself, am I as irrational and out of touch with the world as they are?
and perhaps I am. but this is all about perceptions. There are those who are so quick to judge and throw labels around as if they knew what they meant. fuck, if you don’t have a college education, if you think you know everything, you don’t. not that college and unversity is everything… many of those who make it through the system know less than those who never get their foot in the door. but please, oh please, do not throw around these words as if you know what their context is. I certainly don’t pretend to know everything, and I try to walk the walk and talk the talk of what I say I believe in.
and that’s the difference between us, I guess. because I actually put my foot on the ground on the battles that matter. I actually visualize that rebellion/revolution graph in my head and analyse where my actions fall on it. I actually take a step out of the box and think, wow, sometimes we get so trivial with our conversations we forget what actually matters in the world.
maybe I overvalue how much introspection I put into this work. but it certainly seems like I’m trying. and I guess that’s what my judgment of myself is on this issue: that I’m trying to find the best way forward. I’m not so sure many others are bringing their cards to the table.
