Confession
Yes, it was I
Who knew of no other way to solve this struggle
Who fought back tears to overcome
Life’s countless challenges
Who lacked the natural borne
Instinct Courage Bravery
To face the character I was borne to be
Who three years ago lost my mind
Wishing for nothing than
Temporary sanity.
Yes, it was I
Who wanted nothing but goodness
In my life and in all others
Who desired just a little more
From the dreadful status quo.
Yes, it was I
Who hid all these years behind
The printed word.
Forgive me.
