creative commonist, communist and hippie
I had a wonderful hippie meal tonight.
I started off by squishing the water out of some extra firm tofu. After that, I heated the tofu in corn oil (can’t use canola, even though corn oil is just as genetically modified) and seasoned with some basic spices. After, I fried the tofu in the same oil for a moment, then added some tikka masala sauce out of a jar I had picked up at Extra Foods.
I simmered the sauce and tofu while I cooked some rice. I added peas and corn to the mixture to make sure the vegetable count would be acceptable.
Finally, I served the mixture over the rice while I drank some delicious soy milk.

So why the detailing of the hippie meal? Because I can’t stand the notion that there was ANYTHING FUCKING WRONG with what I just ate. Let’s see: guilt-free from start to finish. What makes that bad? What makes some feel so morally superior because they supposedly don’t label others?
See, whereas we (yes, I am speaking collectively for those on the left.. hell, even *far* left) don’t mind accepting others. We actually embrace diversity because we know we gain strength from a diverse movement. We accept those who eat meat, who kill animals to provide their families with reasonably priced nourishment, and we certainly accept those who have a vegetable-based diet.
Those on the right – fuck, if there’s one right-wing vegetarian, I’d like to meet him/her. (most likely a her; the men of the right seem very conscious about their ideological appearance to other right wing people, yet not concerned about their belt size… interesting…) They fail to embrace diversity. They even have shifted it so far as to include this wonderful “umbrella” they can all fall under – as far right as possible. They’re against any possible social progress, any sort of rights for anyone, and yet they claim “freedom” and “liberty” as their core values. I don’t get the hypocriticism.
Oh wait, I do. If you challenge them, they’ll blow you up, just like a four year old does.
