flickering

this test has left my mind flickering
when anticipation of what next
where to go and who to see
when the flicker rescinds and the reality begins

and a path of consumption doesn’t seem relevant
when the path leads one better off than before
and the flickering of justice, sanity and ideology
pave a path to mental breakdown if I can’t have these indulgments.
