getting sidetracked

one wonders how many of these battles have been waged only to be thrown the sharpest curve ball humanity can dish. It’s been necessary for so many activists to throw in the towel because petty arguments, semantics, language and other controversies derail the causes that we wage each and every time we open our mouths.

how to avoid getting sidetracked? I’m not sure. I think the answer lies in the upper hand advantage of seeing the bigger picture. Let me explain:
- socialists see the bigger picture. this is inherent (my new favourite word of late) in their struggle for a society that favours good deeds over greed. get that folks? we actually care for everyone, not just those who think they contribute to this society through their manipulation and exploitation of others.
- the bigger picture cannot be reached by walking down a Saskatchewan highway (in other words, it’s not a straight path to “salvation.”) there are obstacles, hurdles, and opportunities to be sidetracked. Knowing this is the greatest tool for overcoming these challenges.

The answer does not lie in settling for their strategies. I am just as much a catalyst of that as any other, for my words have on frequent occasion destroyed bridges, not built them. the point being, we socialists see the mistakes and use them to keep advancing. one can’t settle for repeating history’s foibles and expect progression.
