humanism

in the midst of all that is going global
and no one that is thinking local
and the actions of an anti-corporation which concentrate more
on the cool than on the false notion that they are cool

maybe it’s time we took a humanist focus to this world.
this lens, often a fisheye, often one of those fancy sony ones
needs to be shifted. I’m not talking a filter
I’m talking the lens. I’m talking how we actually see this
and where it’s actually supposed to lead us

to a real revolution? the leninists would fight the maoists
and the trotskyists would fight the marxists–
no, we can’t have that

we need a long-lived revolution
where everyone reaches a collective consicousness
of where we’re drifting to
the navy soup isn’t going to stay mellow and warm for eternity
and the here and now beckons to us,
calling for our time to actually accomplish something.
