I am home
Everything wants to know
Which way I am up today
The skies sparkle and say, what a beautiful evening we have created
We certainly like the authority nature gives us to inspire
And dominate
The prairie is thankful.
The boy who walks down the paved-over prairie is thankful.
The cars that pollute the prairie are not so.
But the prairie is thankful to have shared this moment.
When walking to get groceries
Or in this case, to use these shoes to deliver me
Becomes a blur of emotion, thought, sunlight, clouds,
Exhaust, traffic lights, streets, bushes, berries, large oversized SUVs,
And the droll of all of humanity?s return to home…
I am home.
