if I

if I had a dream
I wouldn’t spin myself into this little box
constrained by external views
constricted by external idiots

if I had a dream
I wouldn’t bind my wrists to this coal
strangled by false pretenses
strangled by false elements

if I had a dream
I wouldn’t find enemies in friends
hampered by political battles
hampered by political opponents

if I had a dream
I wouldn’t stoop to the levels of those unnamed
lost in thick forests
lost in thick skulls

if I had a dream
I wouldn’t solve every problem known to humanity
fixated by utopian ideals
fixated by utopian ignorance
