impatience

and while I wait
it’s imperative that life goes on
but brains can’t master so many tasks
the revolution wheel spins and spins but
never revolves around to concrete solutions
to get these ducks in order

and while I wait
catching flies catching mosquitos twiddling thumbs
passing time results in more trouble than it’s worth
but boy oh boy do I want those cookies
give me some fucking cookies!

and while I wait
impatience takes over and forces my mind to transcend
beyond the barrier of verbosity. yes, verbosity
tied to the train track of ever-not-progressing committees
waiting for some involvement this week…
