When to put you in my crevice
My mind? my thoughts? My heart?
I’m not sure if the action could be justified
Beyond mere shady implications
But I’m sure you’ll understand
What good intentions lie ahead.

If only right didn’t need to be so victorious
I would have lost
If only goodness wasn’t on my side
I would have lost
If only my friends had abandoned me
I would have lost
If only I was such a sellout of common sense
I would have swept it up sooner.

No need to contemplate such
now that internally
I’m on the way to self-fulfillment.
