I don’t desire much in the way of progress
because Websters limits their definition
and so do you
to a mere change of heart, change of spirit
when I require a change of paradigm, a change of existence

substantiate that to me
through your actions, daily, weekly,
secondly, don’t forget to renew your vows every so often
commit to the passions that inflame you
burn down barriers barricades borders
which separate you from that reaffirmed promise.

subtle? no. never claimed to be
but I never wanted to be a watered-down version of democracy
like is portrayed as leadership
as a future
as a means to an end of apathy.
