obsession
Poor girl
Like I was saying
I’ve been watching you for four years now
And all I feel is pity
You stumble
Leaves must fall off their branches you know
Just as the well-nurtured ones like to run out of the fence
They thought they could contain you: what fools!
I’ll concede I never won
The extremities of influence you have exceed their expectations
Still, I wonder what cost you’ve paid
For us humans don’t live to tell our deaths.
One could say it’s the influence over America
but the real affect has taken place locally
The green ivy of jealousy crept up these legs
Four years later, it influenced me.
