so that clocks will still run
but not out of time
so that parents will still frustrate
but will not abandon their young
so that friends will still call
but not because of desparation

so that music will still open ears
but not necessarily wallets
so that art will still stimulate the eyes
but not our capitalism
so that movies will still inspire heros and heroines
but not violence

so that cops will still patrol the streets
but not beat up citizens
so that multiculturalism will still bring us immigrants
