reconciliation

today feels good
because I lack the spirit of those who choose
tradition over convention
the reality of society
: its common laws

it’s sad to see them reconciliate
when the world opens its vaults to eternal experiences
lapping in the waves of opportunity
uninhibited by church
: its ancient routines

I don’t brainwash my beliefs
they can be immersed in their own time
when simplicity and human instinct flourish
blinding intensity
: their effortless minimalism

today feels good
because my body doesn’t possess such a soul
as to wade out and be transformed
by the cultural practices so many succumb to
: their ignorant minds.
