Who ever is?
Machetes don’t ever make great school projects
For show and tell
“guess what I discovered on the weekend”
the little one might quirp,
“daddy’s knife is bloodstained with that of our neighbour!”

the children wouldn’t hush over in excitement
the teacher wouldn’t chuckle with glee over the childish behaviour

they weren’t prepared for such a fallout.
This colonial imposition

Deserves extraditing. There is no basis for hatred under this law.

They weren’t really willing to move.
They weren’t really wanting to die.
They weren’t really wishing for the future to end.
They weren’t really wallowing in their own fortune.
They were children.
