spotlight
so I had this vision
Where power takes over
Drowns the convictions of sanity I felt I needed
Lets me go free on the other side
Where the grass grows thickly green
Lush with potential
Nourishment and nurturement
I tried to locate the bridge
The water cuddled my shores
Smoothed the augmentations down to a mere major
And I musth ave passed over
The daring sharks who leapt testify their hunger
For a salivating meal
Of new blood to worship
Until the flavour loses public interest.
So I stepped out
Ran with my intentions, hopes, dreams
Flurried like the blizzard that I am
Swarmed up on them, those eager witnesses to tragedy
And stung lightning out of their storm
Enough to bring me into that clearing of the clouds
The spotlight that I’ve yearned for forever.
