the real revolution

blossoms of heart and happiness and freedom
shadows upon snow and nights spent dancing
singing and cheering and laughing and love
this is what I see
for the real revolution.

parks built for playing and walks made for waltzing
comfortable beds for the uncomforted among us
dreams that go on late into the morning
this is what I see
for the real revolution.

food that’s aplenty and farmers that don’t struggle
fearless faces of youth finding futures and fortune
exploration of ourselves, of our society and our world
this is what I see
for the real revolution.

vacations to sun for those who rarely see it
snowboarding, skiing and skating for those without winter
dry blankets and pillows for the dampened and distressed
this is what I see
for the real revolution.

an equality among men, among women and among others
a world filled with hope and exploration and justice
a place for everyone to call home and secure
this is what I see
for the real revolution.

commodities based on value, not based on profit
daring to experiment with the unknown and mysterious
a community for everyone and a forest for every thing
this is what I see
for the real revolution.

wants based on needs, not based on marketing
desires based on sensuality, not based on exploitation
passion meant for love and love meant for living
this is what I see
for the real revolution.
