trenchcoat

Expose the vulgarity that hides beneath the pink
The ruggedness lurking: willing to strike
an unfamiliar violence shaking
trembling disturbing
Masking the perversion of that left side of the mind

It’s camouflaged time and time again
to betray those innocent bystanders
Who shed no judgments who cast no shame
The foliage has an inability to cover all dangers
The traps are consistently within sight

Yet the addictions rage on
Never timid because of distance
Relative and perpendicular to the duration
Between obsession and fixation
He slips on a trenchcoat, but he can’t slip away.
