walking
I feel at peace when I am walking.
I feel like my feet are part of something.
they feel connected to the earth in a way driving doesn’t even come close to.
driving feels so unnatural after a good walk.
driving doesn’t have that chill of the wind,
or the senseless whispers it makes.
walking feels like I’m bettering the planet. driving doesn’t.
another thing that is great is the cold air.
when I breathe in the cold, and it freezes me and leaves me wishing for a hat,
I think, generations of people have felt this cold breeze before me.
how fucking cool is that? this circle/cycle whathaveyou of weather
keeps evolving and changing but at the same time it’s a movement
this continual dance of air and weather.
what a wonderful day to feel the sun, breathe, and know I’m alive.
