whatever and ever – omen
ben harper: please do not change
this world lacks creativity.
lacks dualism. lacks a voice for those of us who feel alienated even by “alternative” media/music/culture/pop/food/desire/ fashion/thought/morality/sexuality/destiny/
I hate how co-opted things become.
so fast. so quickly co-opted.
this concept of blogging. I did it back in 1998. now it’s the fad to beat.
WHY? why are our thoughts so valuable that 15 million people continuously post their drivel on the net?
it’s a desire to be “alternative.” but it’s as alternative as goth/gay/grunge/The Nation./Mexican/Canadian Dream/cargo pants/post-modernism/liberal freedom/queer/go-with-the-flow
not that those things are bad. I like them. I just don’t like
pigeon holes
and cliches like the phrase pigeon holes.
I am a cynic. constant cynic. and it’s depressing on days of depression.
