where is our future
where is our future?
I see sunshine,
I see oranges sliced and spliced on
drink glasses
but I don’t see the orange signs in the fields.
I see magestic mountains of
indifference to the labels we wear proudly.
I see long waiting lists to
the latest showing of complete apathy.
where is our future?
I see it somewhere in a small village
where we hug the street corners with carnations
and ferns and other greenery
just so happens that village is self-contained
in the real world, a gloomy monstrosity of a city.
